June is one of the sunniest months in Paris. The average day in Paris during June has 16.14 hours of daylight with sunrise at 5:44 a.m. and sunset at 9:58 p.m.
Paris can feel quite humid in June and sometimes there is even a heat wave. Head to the parks to cool off or to Deauville, Normandy for a beach day!

Nuit Blanche (White Night…Sleepless) in Paris: June 1, 2024
Nuit Blanche which translates to “White Night” or “Sleepless Night” is an annual all-night arts festival. On the first Saturday of June when night falls, Paris welcomes you to explore the city with concerts, exhibits and open museums. Many of the events and exhibitions are free. The city comes alive! The metro runs until 2 AM.
The French Open At Roland Garros: May 20 to June 9, 2024
Paris in June – calling all tennis lovers! The French Open, one of the four Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments, is played on clay courts. Come and see your favourite tennis players battling it out! Book tickets and accommodation well in advance.
We Love Green: May 31 to June 2, 2024
“We Love Green” is an annual music and arts festival held in the Bois de Vincennes, Paris. This annual festival was founded in 2011 and is known for its focus on sustainability, environmental awareness, and promoting eco-friendly practices. We Love Green features a wide range of musical genres, art installations and workshops on sustainability. It attracts thousands of music lovers and environmental enthusiasts from around the world.
La Ville Dansée: June 7, 8 &9 2024
Paris in June 2024 is going to come alive with dance! Benjamin Millepied, world-renowned choreographer, is organising a cycle of performances entitled La Ville Dansée. In co-production with the Paris Philharmonic, these outdoor performances will take place every 30 minutes in 10 locations in Paris and the suburbs.
Fête de la Musique: June 21, 2024
La Fête de la Musique is my all-time favourite music festival! Held annually since 1982 in Paris and the rest of the country, this lively event marks the beginning of summer with music and festivities in Paris’s streets, parks, squares, and concert halls. It’s a vibrant event that you just can’t miss on the longest day of the year.
Fête des Tuileries (Fête Foraine des Tuileries): June 22 to August 25, 2024
Cotton candy, carnival games, and squeals of laughter are the name of the game! The giant Ferris wheel is hard to miss – enjoy over 60 rides, the fun fairground games and food (did someone say popcorn and cotton candy?)

Summer Sales: June 26 to July 23, 2024
Paris in June is made all the sweeter by the phenomenal deals to be found during the summer sales known as “les soldes.” By law, sales are allowed twice yearly in January and July. In my experience, there are pre-sales before the real sales begin. But look out! Once the real sales begin, the reductions are significant and the shoppers are out! Ohhh…it’s fun to look for great deals.
Days Off- The Paris Philharmonic: June 24 to June 28, 2024

Marche des Fiertés (LGBTQI+ Parade): June 29, 2024
One of the largest Pride Parades in the world, the Marche des Fiertés in Paris has been going strong for over 40 years. This event draws over half a million people to the streets of Paris. Normally a huge parade with floats, 2023 saw no floats to be more environmentally friendly. The Paris Pride Parade starts at 1 PM at Place de la Nation and ends at 5:30 PM at Place de la République where on the Grand Podium several live performances are scheduled.

In June, major sites like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Arc de Triomphe are starting to get more crowded making it essential to book your entry tickets in advance.

8. Cycle Along The Seine River
Paris in June is one of the best months to cycle by the Seine River. The River Seine provides a scenic backdrop to the stunning Parisian architecture and landmarks that line its banks. From the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre, Notre Dame to the Musée d’Orsay, there is no shortage of breathtaking sights to take in during a leisurely bike ride.

When a heat wave heats Paris in June, one of the best ways to keep cool is to head to the beach. The best beaches closest to Paris are Deauville and Trouville in Normandy. Catch an early morning train and spend the day swimming, walking the beach, perched under a parasol, and exploring the towns.
10. Stroll The Best Paris Streets
The month of June is the perfect time to stroll the streets of Paris. These 27 Paris streets include famous Parisian avenues, market streets, and tucked-away cobbled lanes. Looking for a market street? Start on rue des Martyrs or rue Montorgeuil. Looking for boutiques and pastries? Why not start on rue du Bac in the 7th arrondissement? These Paris streets will have you walking to your heart’s content!
11. Browse A Paris Market
Paris in June is the optimal time to visit an outdoor market in Paris. The fresh produce is tantalizing.
Here are some of my favourite markets:
Marché Bastille: The largest open-air market in Paris, this market is a delight to wander. Great produce, fun clothing and purses, the fantastic crêpe/ galette stand, the stand-up oyster bar!
- Location: Boulevard Richard Lenoir
- Hours: Thursdays 7 AM to 2:30 PM; Sundays 7 AM to 3 PM.
Marché d’Aligre: Also known as Le Marché Couvert Beauvau (the Beauvau Covered Market), is another great market experience in Paris. Consisting of an outdoor market, a covered market, and a flea market, there’s is plenty to taste and peruse!
- Location: 25-11 rue d’Aligre
- Hours: Outdoor Market: Tuesday to Friday 7 AM to 1:30 PM; Saturday and Sunday 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Closed Monday.
- Covered Market: Tuesday to Friday 9 AM to 1 PM and 4 to 7:30 PM; Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM. and 3.30 PM to 7:30 PM.; Sunday 9 AM to 1:30 PM. Closed Monday.
Marché des Enfants Rouges: Paris’s oldest covered market, this bustling market has tons of great produce stands and a fantastic choice of restaurant booths. 12. Visit Monet’s Gardens At Giverny
Giverny, in Normandy, France is the perfect day trip from Paris. Claude Monet’s home and garden in Giverny France are a popular tourist attraction and you’ll know why as soon as you arrive. The water lilies are astounding and the colourful gardens are an array of fabulous colours. Monet’s house is interesting to explore as is the small town of Giverny.

13. Find Great Views Over Paris
I love seeing the views from the Eiffel Tower but I also love seeing panoramic views of Paris that include the Eiffel Tower. Here is where to find a few:
- The Basilica of Sacré-Coeur: climb to the top of Sacré-Coeur for spectacular views over the City of Love.
- The Panthéon: I love the view over the Latin Quarter and the Eiffel Tower
- The Arc de Triomphe: It’s easy to linger here staring at the traffic circle from above and straight down the Champs Elysées
- The Montparnasse Tower: From such a height the view is grand!
14. Visit A Paris Museum
It’s almost impossible to come to Paris and not visit a museum. Perhaps you have already been to the Louvre Museum. Try visiting a smaller museum like the Musée Marmottan Monet, the Musée Jacquemart-André or one of my favourites, The Cluny Museum. 15. Head To Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris is one of the most popular day trips from Paris. With the school holidays in February in Paris, Disneyland Paris is a prime destination for locals. That being said, Disneyland in February is much less busy with shorter queues than in the summer months. The best days of the week to visit Disneyland Paris are Tuesdays and Thursdays. The weather at Disneyland Paris in February is similar to Paris. Wear layers and be prepared for the wind!

16. Relax In A Lesser Known Park
Paris in June is a great time to saunter through a lesser-known park. One of my favourite parks is Parc des Buttes Chaumont in the 19th arrondissement. Parc des Buttes Chaumont is full of locals having picnics, jogging, and enjoying nature.
Parc de Bagatelle is another favourite Paris park. Set in the Bois de Boulogne, the Parc de Bagatelle is a true delight. Follow the peacocks, look for the rose gardens and the château. You won’t believe you are still in Paris!
Another urban park worth visiting in Paris in March is La Coulée Verte also known as the Promenade Plantée. Start in the 12th arrondissement and stroll along this former elevated railway line. You can walk all the way to the Bois de Vincennes!
17. Have A Perfect Paris Picnic
Oh là là ! Paris in June is the ideal month to have a picnic or plan to have an apéritif by the water. Visit your favourite fromagerie, get the best baguette, and a bottle of French wine. Sit by the Seine along with many Parisians and soak up the warmth and the long days. Another great place to enjoy this pefect June activity is at Canal St-Martin.
18. Hidden Gems
